Ottawa-area recording artists Black Cherry Band (BCB) are more than just a Blues–Rock band.
They  are a concept and a tradition, tracing their roots through a collaboration of experienced
musicians with songs that are built on a solid rhythmic foundation. Over the span of eight album
releases, the BCB sound has adapted and changed with the musical diversity of performers from
across Canada and as far away as Sweden. The ensuing blend of rock, blues and jazz comes
across with class. Drums, guitars, synths and horns create a canvas upon which the vocals
can paint the songwriters' stories.

In 2012, BCB released their first Christmas album entitled Christmas Comfort and Joy. The profits
from this album were donated to the Wild Bird Care Center in Ottawa. The album  sold out in less
than 2 weeks. With the success of Christmas Comfort and Joy, BCB decided to do a full-length
Christmas album in 2013. A Tree for Christmas, is a 9-song CD that, with the exception of
O Holy Night, showcases new and original Christmas music written by Rob Letourneau.

Presently, music from Black Cherry Band can be heard on the short film The Map and the
full-length feature film The Tablet.
